The DPS-MIS eighth-grade student defeated Arjun Shine in three sets 21-18, 11-21, and 21-19 in the final to take sweet revenge for his loss to the same player in the quarter-final stage of the under-16 category.

He also went on to complete a double in the tournament when he won the Under-16 doubles championship along with his partner Aman Ali. The sub-junior and junior badminton championship was held in different age groups from under 10 to under 18.

Rajatraj is trained at New Vision Badminton Sport by former Qatar National Coach, Manoj Sahibjan assisted by coach Ashif Ameerjan, Anurag Anirudhan, Bichu Sureshkumar, Ashwin P C, and Nebu Joseph.
