Players of New Vision Badminton Sport (NVBS) came out with flying colors in the 2nd Qatar Oruma Open Badminton Championship 2019 at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.

A large number of players from NVBS took part in different events and categories of the tournament.

The tournament was held in 35 categories and attracted 515 entries from different Nationalities.

The sub-junior squad of NVBS consisting of Adlyn Mary Sojan, Mashal Sahibjan, Dilan Togi, Shreyas C Reddy, Aman Anas, Arjun Rao came up with a spectacular performance in different age group categories to win the Team Championship

Adlyn and Mashal successfully won their third consecutive crown this year in the under-9 girls’ and under-9 boys’ sections respectively, in tournaments held in Qatar.

Adlyn defeated Samah Sajeer 21-11, 21-18 to win the under-9 girls crown while Mashal overpowered Shreyas C Reddy also of NVBS 21-6, 21-13.

In the under-11 boys’ doubles event, Dilan Togi and Mashal lost 21-10, 21-7 to Pridhav Shyam Gopan and Viraj Pranshu.  

Shreyas C Reddy and Mashal won the under-9 boys’ doubles title by registering a 21-11, 21-12 win over Aman Anas and Arjun Rao also of NVBS.

In the Under-17 category, Mohammed Farhan and Mohammed Rizwan of NVBS lost 21-15, 13-21, 10-21 to Arryan Aji R and Athul Mathew in the final.
