Shreyas & Adlyn of New Vision Badminton Sport became the Under-13 Singles champions in QBA National Circuit (Leg-1) tournament held at Al-Rayyan Private School from 12th to 15th October 2022. The tournament was conducted by Qatar Badminton Association for 3 age-category singles. Under-13 boys & girls Singles, Under-15 boys & girls Singles & Under-17 boys & girls Singles. Among those three categories, the most junior category is the Under-13 category, and both boys’ & girls’ category titles were lifted by NVBS future talents. In under-13 boys Singles, both finalists were from NVBS.

In the under-13 girls’ singles finals, Adlyn Marry Sojan beat Aeryn Pradeep.

The price distribution ceremony was conducted on the last day of the tournament, held on 15th October 2022. Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Al Khulaifi (Head of the Qatar Badminton national team) & Mr. Sultan Khalfan (Tournament Director) were the chief guests for the tournament closing ceremony. Shreyas Reddy Chilaka & Adlyn Marry Sojan received the Under-13 singles winner prize from Mr. Sultan Khalfan( Tournament Director)
The tournament was conducted in Round Robin format by segregating all players into different groups. All the players of NVBS had shown their best performance and 90% of NVBS players had won the league matches in the group and reached Quarter Finals & Semifinals in their respective categories. Riya Kurian reached the Under-17 girls singles semifinals, Adlyn Marry Sojan reached the Under-15 girls singles semifinals, Sanjanaa Nakulan reached the Under-13 girls singles semifinals, Shreyas Reddy Chilaka reached Under -15 boys singles semifinals & Jaishna Orchu of NVBS reached Under-13 Girls Singles semifinals. Same time Jonah Joby, Rohit Janarthanan, Abhinav Nair & Mashal Sahibjan reached Quarter-finals in different categories of boys’ singles.
As the age category started from Under-13, half of NVBS participants were 7-year-old or 8-year-old, or 9-year-old under-9 & under-11 category players. All those young talents were shown their best performance in their league matches. Unfortunately, they were made to participate in the elder age category as compared to their own respective category. But still, under-13 category players of NVBS showed their best performance in their upper age categories like under-15 & under-17 categories by reaching Semifinals & quarter-finals.
NVBS Management & Coaches wished all the participants, winners, young players who participated and performed well in higher categories & the parents who supported those young players to participate in these higher categories.
